Presidential Address The programme was presided over by Shri. A. Srinivasan, Esteemed Chancellor, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University. In his presidential address, he highlighted the importance of adapting to emerging industrial technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart manufacturing. He emphasized that Industry 4.0 is transforming traditional industries and that engineering students must equip themselves with future-ready skills to meet global industrial demands. Chief Guest Address The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Kulanthaivel, Professor & Head, Department of ECE, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chennai, delivered an insightful and informative technical lecture on the Applications of Industry 4.0. In his address, Dr. G. Kulanthaivel explained the core concepts of Industry 4.0, including cyber-physical systems, smart factories, data-driven decision making, and digital integration of industrial processes. He elaborated on global advancements in industries and discussed government policies and opportunities that support Industry 4.0 implementation in India. The School of Engineering and Technology, in association with the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) and International Language Center, of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Perambalur, successfully organized the Grand Inauguration of International Language Courses – Batch II on Thursday, 19th February 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the College Premises. The program was organized with the objective of enhancing students’ global communication skills and providing international exposure through foreign language training in German, Japanese, Spanish, French, and IELTS. Inaugural Session The inaugural function commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and participants. The event was presided over by Shri. A. Srinivasan, the Esteemed Chancellor of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, who formally inaugurated the International Language Courses – Batch II. In his presidential address, Shri. A. Srinivasan emphasized the growing importance of international languages in today’s globalized world. He highlighted how multilingual skills open doors to global careers, higher education opportunities abroad, and cross-cultural understanding. The XR Club students of the School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, actively participated in a webinar titled “Immersive Technology Interfaces, Spatial User Interface Design”, organized by XTIC, IIT Madras through the ZOOM platform on 04 February 2026 from 2:00 PM. The session was attended by 30 students and was conducted at SR–21, Biomedical Classroom, SET, DSU. The webinar was delivered by Dr. Anmol Srivastava, Human Centered Design expert from IIT Delhi, who shared in-depth knowledge on immersive interfaces and spatial user experience design. Outcome: Participants gained valuable insights into the UX design perspective and human-centered interactions in 3D immersive environments, enhancing their understanding of user interface design in XR technologies.
A five-day Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Special Training Program was successfully conducted at the AR/VR Laboratory located in the School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Perambalur. Upon successful completion of the training, certificates were distributed by the Honorable Chancellor, Shri.A.Srinivasan, who congratulated and appreciated the students for their achievements. The event was graced by the presence of Dr.K.Elangovan, Additional Registrar, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Dr.K.Velmurugan,Dean, School of Engineering and Technology and Mr. Nagarajan, Chief Administrative Officer, along with faculty members and staff. The program was organized for engineering students with the objective of enhancing their practical knowledge and technical skills in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies. A total of 30 students actively participated in the training and successfully completed the program, receiving certificates in Unity software. Through this training, students gained hands-on experience in developing realistic three-dimensional (3D) models, graphics, animations, simulations, and virtual environments using advanced AR/VR tools and software. The program significantly improved their software development skills related to immersive technologies.This training opens up wide career opportunities for students in fields such as graphics and animation, virtual simulation, 3D visualization, virtual prototyping, and digital design. It also enhances their prospects for employment in national and international companies, government sectors, and encourages them to pursue entrepreneurship and self-employment in emerging technology domains.
