Helpline : +91 63841 76766 | 63841 76769The World Tobacco Day Awareness lecture session, themed "Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference," was held on May 31, 2024 at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University's School of Allied Health Sciences in Perambalur. Dr.Abinav and Dr.Janani experts discussed tobacco companies' deceptive techniques for attracting teens, such as advertising near schools and on social media. The discussion focused on the deleterious impact of early tobacco exposure on children's health, as well as the need for tight limits and community action to mitigate these influences. Attendees heard about effective lobbying strategies and tools for promoting tobacco-free environments, highlighting the importance of working together to protect children from tobacco's hazards.
